“E Pule Kākou” Event

Kūpuna have requested for the pastors of Keaukaha to come together in prayer for the Keaukaha-Panaewa community. Approximately 21 community members have passed away between December and January alone, prompting a prayerful gathering to take place on February 17, 2025 from 10am to noon.

This event will feature participation and/or support from the following churches:

  • Ka Hoku Ao Mālamalama

  • Hale Pule ke Ola Hou

  • Malia Puka o ka Lani Catholic Church

  • Haili Church (Kūhiō Chapel)

  • Ka ʻUhane Hemolele o ka Mālamalama

The tentative program is as follows:

  • 10 am - Ke Ana Laʻahana opens with pū, followed by the Pule Mililani, the Doxology in Hawaiian & English, opening sentiments by Former Keaukaha Community Association President Patrick Kahawaiʻōlaʻa, and a Community Prayer

  • 11 am - Community Feeding supported by Hale Pule Ke Ola Hou

  • 11 am - Live Music to play while multiple Kahu from different churches will be available to community members for personal prayer and intercession.

  • 12pm - Closing Prayer
